General Information and Frequently Asked Questions
How does it work?
Blind listings of volunteer's employer, job responsibilities, geographic location, and academic major are accessible to UA students and alumni anywhere in the world through the Arizona Alumni Association's home page on the internet. Volunteers are identified in the network only by a locator number. Each request for contact information must be made either online or by phone or fax through the Alumni Association or Career Services Office, who will verify that the request is coming from a UA student or alumnus before releasing the contact information to them.
Updating Your Information?
If you're a volunteer in the network and your employment or contact imformation has changed, please submit a new enrollment form ("Join the Network" on the home page), and in the "Comments" section of the form indicate that you are updating your information.
How many alumni are part of Career Connections?
More than 1,000 active alumni are a part of Career Connections. They have graciously agreed to volunteer their time to help UA students and fellow alumni.
Is UA Career Connections an employment service?
No, Alumni Career Connections is not a placement or employment service, but a great way to explore new careers and network with alumni.
What are some ways to obtain career information from the alumni contact?
It is up to you and your alumni contact to decide. Options include taking a phone call, meeting in person, or arranging a "day-on-the-job."
Why do we ask for user feedback?
It is important for us to know if a volunteer in our database has inaccurate contact information, and also helps to provide us with knowledge to improve our services.
