Experience
the wealth of knowledge that Thomas Price will share on this 13-day
adventure from Paris to Prague. Spend two nights in the French
capital of Paris, and enjoy some of the city’s most prominent
wonders — Notre Dame de Paris, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, and so
much more. After a drive to the city of Trier — Germany’s oldest
city — you’ll embark on the Avalon Tranquility for a seven-night
cruise on the Moselle River. In the middle of the Moselle region,
you’ll discover Bernkastel-Kues, famous for its well-preserved,
half-timbered houses that surround the medieval market square. Visit
Reichsburg Castle, towering high above the river at Cochem, and
Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum in Rüdesheim. Then,
you’ll marvel at the picturesque Bavarian village of Miltenberg and
the Würzburg residential palace. After a guided sightseeing tour in
Bamberg, you’ll disembark in Nuremberg, and transfer by motorcoach
to 1000-year-old Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic.
Known as the city of a hundred spires, you’ll visit some of Prague’s
best-known treasures. In Old Town Square, see the famous medieval
astronomical clock and the gothic Týn Cathedral. Cross the historic
Charles Bridge, and take a tour of the Prague Castle, one of the
largest castles in the world. It’s history stretches back to the
ninth century; Czech kings, Roman emperors, and presidents of
Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic have had offices in the
palace.
